Setup
Connect it in two minutes
Claude claude.ai and the Claude desktop app
Open Customize, then Connectors.
Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
Name it Plate Artists, paste https://plateartists.com/mcp and click Continue.
Choose No sign in, then click Add.
In a chat, click + and then Connectors, and switch Plate Artists on.
The Free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it first under Organization settings, Connectors, Add, Custom, Web; members then connect it from Customize, Connectors.
ChatGPT chatgpt.com
Open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode.
Go to chatgpt.com/plugins and select the + button.
Name it Plate Artists, add a short description, and under Connection paste https://plateartists.com/mcp.
Create the connection. ChatGPT lists the tools it found.
Start a new chat and add Plate Artists from the tools menu.
Developer mode depends on your ChatGPT plan and, on a work account, on your workspace's settings.
Grok grok.com
Go to grok.com/connectors.
Click New Connector, then select Custom.
Paste https://plateartists.com/mcp. There is no sign-in to complete.
Ask Grok a cooking question. It calls the tools when the question needs them.
On Grok Business and Enterprise, a team admin adds it first: console.x.ai, Grok Business, Connectors, + Add Connector, Other.
Grok Bot desktop and mobile app

Message to your Bot
Add a custom MCP server called plate-artists at https://plateartists.com/mcp
On a team plan, an admin chooses which servers members can use on the dashboard's Plugins & MCPs page.
Muse Meta's assistant
Send Muse the message below. Muse has no form for this: it builds the connector itself.
If it asks, the connection is HTTP and there is no authentication.
Wait for it to test a tool and save the connector, about a minute.
From then on, ask it to use Plate Artists in any chat.
Message to Muse
Create a custom connector for Plate Artists. Its MCP server is https://plateartists.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP, no sign-in and no API key). Connect to it, list its tools, test one, and save it so you can use it in any future conversation.
Claude Code terminal
Run this once. It adds Plate Artists to every project.
Check it with claude mcp list.
Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user plate-artists https://plateartists.com/mcp
With mode optional, a run carries on if the server cannot be reached.

FAQ
Questions, answered
What is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way AI assistants connect to outside tools. Once you add this URL, your assistant can call Plate Artists' tools by itself whenever a question needs them, and it links you to the page each answer comes from.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and no. There is no sign-in and no API key: add the URL and it works. Some assistants only allow custom connectors on certain plans; the steps above say where.
What does Plate Artists see?
Only what your assistant sends to a tool, such as a search word or a guest count, never your conversation. We count which tools are called so we know what is useful; we do not store what you asked.
Can it re-plate my food photos?
Not yet. The tools are read-only. To re-plate a photo of your dish, use the studio on the site, where the first plate is free.
My assistant is not listed. Will it work?
Any assistant or editor that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP will work. Give it https://plateartists.com/mcp with no authentication.
