Re-plate your dish with AI
Upload a photo of something you cooked. The AI keeps your food and re-plates it the way a fine-dining kitchen would send it, on the plate that flatters it. One free try a day, no sign-up.
One free re-plate a day. No account, no email.
From a phone photo to a restaurant plate
You upload the dish
A phone photo of something you cooked, from above or at an angle. The plate you used, the lighting and the mess around it do not matter.
An AI art director reads it
It works out what the dish is, what holds the plating back, and which plate from our library would flatter it, then writes a plating brief.
The image model re-plates it
The same food, moved onto that plate and arranged the way a fine-dining kitchen would send it: height, negative space, one clean line of sauce, the garnish placed rather than scattered.
Before and after
Pairs from our guide to plating food. Both frames are AI images: the “after” is an image-to-image re-plate of the “before”, the same kind of edit the demo makes. Drag to compare.
AI food plating, answered
Is the AI food plating tool free?
The demo on this page is free once a day, with no account and no email: one re-plate at 768 px with a small watermark, on the plate the AI picks. A free account gets you a full-size re-plate on the plate you choose, with the art director's notes on the plating. After that, re-plates are part of the paid plan.
Does it change my food?
It is told not to. The brief asks the image model to keep your actual food, the same components and the same portion, and change only the plate, the arrangement, the garnish and the light. Image models are not perfect, so look closely: if it has invented something that was not on your plate, that is the model getting it wrong, not a suggestion to add it.
What happens to my photo?
For the demo, your photo is sent to our AI providers (Anthropic for the plating brief, Google for the image) to make the re-plate, and the result comes straight back to your browser. We do not save the photo or the result. We do keep the name of the dish the AI recognised and the plate it picked, to learn what people cook and improve the tool. We keep a count of demo uses per day against a one-way hash of your IP address, so the free daily limit works without storing the address itself.
Why is there a daily limit?
Every re-plate runs two AI models and costs real money, so the free demo has a small daily budget for the whole site and one use per visitor per day. If today's demos are gone, a free account still gets you a plate straight away.
What makes a good photo for it?
A dish you cooked, in focus, with the whole plate in the frame. Daylight helps the AI read the food. It works on most plated food: mains, pasta, salads, desserts. It is not built for drinks, packaged food or photos with people in them.
